Epidote is not generally known for exceptional crystals, but can produce some magnificent specimens. Its color can range from yellowish green (like pistachio) to dark green, even brownish black.

Most of the time in the field we do not see epidote crystals; instead they appear as masses of tiny to microscopic crystals and can be found in vein fillings of igneous and metamorphic rocks rocks.

If you would like to submit a mineral to the galleries You can submit them here
