Lead crystals like Wulfenite tend to be very heavy because of the density of lead and does not give the crystal much strength which makes it totally unsuitable for jewelry. It’s hardness is 3 on the Moh’s scale which means it is as soft as rock salt.

Wulfenite has vivid colors and unusual crystal symmetry. The oxidation that occurs with lead deposits gives these crystals their unique orange and red colors. The crystals may also be clear, white, gray or yellow.
